I use Tap water, in the wild a snake drinks from any source it can find, therefore it should be able to cope with tap water. |

Bottle, tap water has heavy metals in it, can be very bad for reps. You can also but products such as Reptisafe which you add to the water.
I think that as a keeper you should provide the best possible stuff for your animal. |

Really? - Never in any water I've tested and its been my job for the past 10 years. In fact there are more tests and constraints on tap water than bottled spring water, which will have passed through rocks, soil etc containing many metals and toxins, but can be 'bottled at source'. |

Zinc, lead, copper from pipes, fluorine, which can cause health problems, as well as chlorine. I don't like drinking tap water.
My earlier post was very badly written- I use the Reptisafe water conditioner I mentioned.
BE, I don't want to question your knowledge in any way. I just don't like taking the chance. |

Pre boiled, cooled in the fridge... mostly to avoid limescale build up as I live in a hard water area. |

Filtered tap water. Only reason really is that we fill it up and leave it out so its not so cold when my snakes get it.
But definitely no Yorkshire water used, I don't know where its been |

Bottled water for my snakes and for my self to be honest. After all the water you drink from the tap is a mixture of fresh water and the water you flush the toilet with that then goes through different stages of filtration to become usable water again with things like flouride added to it. |

@Rich: ALL water be it bottled or tap has been through a person/animal over the years, it's silly imo to mention toilets when the waters obviously checked for purity
There are plenty of concerns with bottled water. For example you don't know how long the waters been stored in the bottle and at what temperature before it reaches you. People have a romantic notion of water being drawn from a babbling brook on a mountainside whereas the process more closely resembles an industrial plant. Remember a few years ago when Pierre water sales were temporarily suspend due to contamination? (benzene iirc) Again there was some research which showed there was more bacterial contamination in bottled water precisely because it hasn't been chlorinated.
Bottled water is a con and indeed bad for the environment re. carbon costs in transportation when people buy water shipped from around the world.
I personally drink tap water but invested in a cheap filter jug from argos purely to remove any residual chlorine/limescale from the water for the snake.

@Macspud I take some of your points but their is a lot of evidence gathering that tap water containing chlorine and flouride can damage your brain cells over a period of time. I don't agree with you on bottled water being a con either. |
