What's a bottle trap? I didn't have any talc, so I put flour everywhere on the floor. I put his tank on the floor and left the door open, do you think he'll find his way back in?

heres a bottle trap,i would suggest taping a piece of plastic bag around the opening on the inside to stop him finding his way out, good idea to put the viv on the floor. http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1759

did you check the substrate? I thought I'd lost mine but the little blighter was buried in the aspen shavings. I took everything out of the viv and spent a few mins going through the substrate and still couldnt find her but then suddenly she popped up looking very angry at me :) She is only 7 weeks old though so hides very easily

Hii mate! I know it is terrible when they escape, but don't panic! And don't beat yourself up about it! I lost Echo then found him a week later hiding under a traffic cone in the garden! I'm sure you will find him! Close all doors and sont leave windows open, they will get out!

Good Luck

I just found Sneaky. The little bugger was hiding in a folder. That was definitely one of the worst experience of my life, but it felt so good to find him. I was so worried.
Thanks for all the replies and tips, I really appreciate your support.

The folder was about 7 feet away from the tank, on a shelve. I wouldn't have seen Sneaky if I hadn't opened it.

Corns are amazingly adept at climbing, so I wouldn't be surprised at all to find a missing one up high somewhere. Alice has actually climbed up the edge of a door before!! I still can't figure out how she managed that!
