Stops drafts (keeps heat in), and stops any fluids from the snake or spilt water bowl or sumit getting into joints and ruining your timber and you viv. Well thats why I sealed mine lol, there may be more to it than that ;) |

I'm not sure if adhesive glue is a good idea in snakes, due to the fumes

well what else would do the trick would the aquarium sealent dry out enough to hold on the runners? |

is wot made from pine? I don't think it is and even if it is as long as it's sealed correctly it's fine so don't worry about that mate. |

Hard as nails is fine tryme. When you seal the viv with aquarium sealant just go round the glass runners as well |

You only need to worry about pine if it gets wet mate. And I don't think it is pine, thanks for the concern. |

Ok I got the vents on, gonna need to seal em up on the inside round the edges as well me thinks.
