Just to throw out to mjpeters, he looks to caramel to me to be a creamsicle. Just assuming as my creamsicle is very bright orange :) But could be wrong. Beautiful snake though. |

Don.t lose confidence, and re-homing a snake gives you a sense of giving back and offering care where its really needed |

Of course they are all loverly! But as you can tell by my signature, red eyes are my love really :P However, our next snake shall be an Anery, preferably male, names for him that i personally like include - Nico, Gomez (to go with m Mortisha ;D) and Mushu hehe But back to cobweb - There is also the sspca to think about if you consider rehoming :) If there is one near you that is. I personally am geographically challenged :D aha |

So sorry to hear about this I hope this doesn't put you off getting another one, it was not your fault! I can understand how you feel though. I'd be the same. I'd be thinking "What if I could have done more?" or "What if I'd not put the log back in?" so I know exactly how you feel.
mjpeters Looks creamsicle stripe to me. Creamisicles vary so much. Two Creamsicle picture from Ians viv just to show how much they vary. I now these aren't stripes but there are no Creamsicle Stripes on IV.
Pale - http://iansvivarium.com/morphs/species/elaphe_guttata/creamsicle/pics/creamsicle-a.jpg Dark - http://iansvivarium.com/morphs/species/elaphe_guttata/creamsicle/images/CreamsicleHetAnery.JPG
And then here's a Creamsicle with her eggs to show how caramel in colour they can be. It depends on the genetics. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2372/2480086600_84a85af298.jpg
And just to throw a spanner in lol. Here's a Creamsicle Stripe that I found on Google XD http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/data/52274MVC-021S.JPG
Sorry for hijacking, was just giving my quick opinion on the morph of the little one mjpeter mentioned |

Very sorry to hear about your loss. You did all you could and sometimes tragedies just happen, though I know that doesn't make it any easier. I hope that once you have had some time you will find another beautiful corn to love.

Oh Lee, I'm so sorry about what happened to Albi . I haven't been on for a bit so only just found out. I can't imagine how you must be feeling but PLEASE don't keep beating yourself up about it. What's happened has happened and you can't do anything to change it. You need to forgive yourself. An outcome of it is that you've brought to attention something that we all need to be aware of, having things in our vivs that might cause problems. Unfortunately our snakes don't always know what's best for them so I'm not surprised that he tried going in his old hide and I'm just so sorry that you then had the awful ordeal of watching him try to get out, trying to help him unsuccessfully and then finding him gone. I can't think of anything else you could have done to release him, you truly did your best.
Please don't let this put you off keeping corns. You can never replace Albi and I know you wouldn't want to, but you would be offering a new corn a wonderful home. As for you not being 'fit' to have another snake....stop talking such utter ******* !! It's been so obvious to us how much you cared for Albi and did everything you could for him . Another corn would be blessed to have you as it's owner, but only when you're ready.
Xxx
