Hi all

I was looking at Willow yesterday and there seems to be a bit of a gap between some of her scales.



The area is the dark patch just left of centre at the base of her head in the picture above.

there is a smaller patch in a similar position on the other side.

I think it may have been there a while, but I though I would ask. Sorry the pic is a bit fuzzy she doesn't do holding still!

Normal or get it checked out?

Looks like the pattern of the snake in my opinion. Doesn't look like anything to worry about. But can't really tell from the picture. If unsure seek a herp vet.

i thought the same as welshlamb, looks like scale pattern. i dont see anything of immediate concern from the picture but it may be different to see in person. If you feel its a concern, take to a vet.
