Its is a big give away. Is it a fertilised egg or a slug? How big is your girlboy?
Edit: Just checked through for a pic of Cane and heshe is an adult so as long as she is healthy etc all should be fine on the health side of been up the snakey duff.
One egg wont be the last, they lay one first before the bulk come through. (I have heard someone calling that first egg the plug, dont know if thats a technical term on not but be prepared for more). |

Is it only the one egg??? if it is, make 100% certain you do nothing, do not disturb her, dont poke prod or do anything, 1 egg is not a good thing at all. definately get a pic, but do it in a way you disturb her the least, just to be sure its what you think, i am sure it is, if its white and egg like, then its probably an egg!! lol. You must keep a close eye on her, if she doesnt lay before monday, then you need to be speaking to a vet really, you would be needing calcium and oxytocin injection, to try and prevent her becoming egg bound. You have roughly 72 hours from her starting to lay to getting the jabs before its too late. |

Keep us posted on the progress, and pop that picture up when you get it but if Mike says do it without disturbing her then thats what you need to do I think its safe to say he knows his eggs on this subject. |

What do you reckon? can you handle her without disturbing her???
Just to be clear, DO NOT disturb her, this means....
DO NOT handle DO NOT poke DO NOT touch DO NOT move her DO NOT do anything that will mean she has to worry about you in any way.
DO... Watch carefully, if shes having trouble laying the eggs, then you can move her, BUT, ONLY to get her to a vet so she can have the oxytocin injection.
You remember one of your first threads, and i wrote you that whole big essay about how it can go wrong, this is it, this is what i meant, you need to make sure that you do the minimum possible to stress her. |

you'll need to give her somewhere damp and warm to lay her eggs too, otherwise she may keep hold of them which can be fatal :(
I use a small lidded plastic box big enough for the female to curl up in with a small hole so she can get in and out and damp vermiculite to dig and lay in |

Can you think of anything that can stand in for vermiculite that may be knocking about the house? I doubt very much people not expecting eggs will have some, will moss as long as its really well squeezed out do. I'm asking on the presumption that first thing tomorrow morning the necessary stuff required will be purchased but as a stand in overnight will moss do.
Cammy, are you looking to incubate the eggs or just stick them in the freezer to kill them off? |

damp kitchen roll in the bottom of a large tub if there's no vermiculite or sphagnum moss handy
i really hope she manages to pass her clutch of eggs successfully!
to the OP - if you're near Leeds or York and want them incubating just let me know |

That egg isnt fertile mate, just bin it. I would really be thinking about getting the jabs from the vet as soon as you can. |

How is she now? Did you sort out a lay box for her? Are you gonna take her to a vet?? |
