Can snakes pick up things like the human cold or other human illness bugs?


Dakota ~ Bloodred Corn ~ Amber & Chloe ~ Cats
Mind is changing on snakes I want now lol so am researching these to find out what would be best - Milk Snakes and Dwarf Boa possibly - Crawl Cay, Sonoran, Tarahumara or Vera Cruz and poss a Hoggie, African House and Rat snake. Also Trinket Snakes.

They can't catch human illnesses. And it works both ways apart from salmonella etc you can pick that up from a reptile which is why hand washing is so important.

basically, because human body temp is about 36.5'C, snakes are varying 'C cooler
the bugs that live in people can't survive the cooler temps

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos
