increase the humidity and see if they fill out again, i'd also put a bit more vermiculite/sphagnum moss in there so the egsare at least half buried. |

certainly am - 9 of them have taken food ok, and after another meal or two I'll be selling.
I've got two that just arnt interested though - thoughts??? will they eventually feel hunger or do I need to do something drastic??? (to the pinky, not the snake) |

congrats FP i completely missed this thread before, sorry! what pairing are these from? 100% carolinas might be repeated with this next clutch too.... have you tried braining the pinkies? or leaving them in a small tub with the pinky for an hour, or overnight? are you housing them separately so you can monitor whcih are feeding, pooping etc?
awww bless first pippies this year

Both Parents are normals - looking forward to seeing what we get with next clutch (probably same again).
I've got them seperated so that I can monitor shedding, eating etc. I've left the pinky in the container until it starts to smell nasty, then removed and binned and started process again - been through 5 pinkies with each snake and they still wont eat!
I tried chopping the head open - the pair of them just seem oblivious to the fact that its food ( when you say braining, do you mean grinding it to a pulp??? I'm just a little squeemish... but keep that quiet, I would'nt want to shatter my manly facade!!!) |

braining is when you open up the pinky's skull a little with a sharp knife to expose the brain, the scent can tempt some reluctant feeders. how often have you tried feeding them if they've wasted 5 pinkies a piece? you could try putting them in a small tub (inside their current tub) with the pinky and leave them overnight, or try scenting? |

One of them has taken the pinkie (yay!)
I've been offering one pinkie each day since they shed. Pinkie goes off over about 18 hours and after 24 hours it smells so bad that I bin it. The other 9 took the food almost imediatly.
They're all in quite a small container as it is (only as big as a live food box), should I try to put the last one in a smaller container?
I'll try braining tonights feast and see if that makes any difference. |

any luck with the stubborn ones yet? maybe offer a pinky every 2-3 days so they're not stressed with the constant offering of food. a tub small enough to fit inside their current accomodation would be ideal, something like the little polystyrene tub you get mushy peas in from the chippy. then try putting the stubborn corn in there with a pinky overnight. |

Still no luck with the last one (I started a tread in health that you've given a bit of advice on) - have just decided to give the little fella a break for a few days as I really stressed him yesterday tapping him with the pinky (wont do that again!). |
