Think you meant nocturnal

I thought they were diurnal too Mancunian, cos they do come out during the day, unlike Royals who are definitely nocturnal?? |

No I meant diurnal! They are active during the day. In the wild they are most active at dawn and dusk but hide for most of the daylight hours as it is too hot for them. Their UV requirements are low to nil because of this.
Royal pythons are nocturnal. In the wild they only come out at night. |

Active during the daytime = Diurnal
Active at night = Nocturnal
Active in twilight (i.e. Dawn and dusk) = Crepuscular
That last word always makes me laugh
Hope that helps. |

i recently got a small red light from pets at home (realy dont like that place so hurts to say :() lol but it works amazinly!!! i never get to see Nia much in her viv unless i come in late at night, and open the door fast enought to see her look at me and jet under a hide lol but with this i pop it on instead of the main room light and she cnt see me :D can sit there for hours watchin her do her thing its awsum.. plus the light is only 0.5watt!! so tiny tiny amount of energy is used, very eco friendly, it also looks reali good when its on and the room is pitch dark, ill get a pic up when i can get a decent 1 :D |
