Hi guys. I know that you will be able to help with this one.

What size prey should I be feeding Matilda?

She is an 04 and weighs 794g. The previous owner showed me what she was feeding her (X-small/small rat once a fortnight) but to me they looked too big. Is it worth feeding her smaller prey more frequently rather than one big meal?

Thanks in advance

Something about the girth of the snake once every 10-14 days should be fine.

Cheers B.E. Knew I could rely on you. It was probably just because they look so much bigger than Sherman's food.

they all squish alot thinner as they get eaten...

i thought my prey was too big for chester wen i moved him up to medium stuarts but the girl said just roll them between your hands and it kinda re shapes them to be slender in stead of squished up in a ball/bent/deformed then it looks alot smaller...

to gradually lose a bit of weight i'd feed her a regular/large mouse every week. the regular feeding will tell her body not to store so much fat as she has a regular food source, and smaller healthier meals - adult mice have less fat than juvenile rats
