I have two peices of wood that I have sawn and stripped of bark. I have cooked the smaller one at just over 100*C for an hour but the bigger one is a fair size and wont fit in the oven.

Its only been cut down for a day and will absorb anything so im not too kean in putting it into a bleach soloution (im still trying to get the bleach smell out of an antler i disinfected)

Any other ideas?

Not really

What about soaking it in disinfectant for an hour then in a bath of clean water over night. The clean water should dilute the bleach smell I would think.

I though about using a blow torch and BE suggested it also. Its green wood so if it wont burn and it will kill nasties, and it might seal it. Disissions disissions...
