Are hatching!

Just got back from a weekend away, opened the incubator to see one head poking out of the tiniest egg, a slit in the middle one, and the big one still doing nothing.

Tiny had its head stuck, and was gasping for air slightly, so needed a little assistance to get out, but eventually appeared, a perfect little carolina.

Chuffed isnt the word!!

Pics to follow soon.

Oh and I found Casper too.

Yep, first ever hatchling, eggs from Mushu who sadly died after becoming eggbound. Out of 19 eggs only these 3 survived.

I luffs him/her, soooo diddy!!

Rach....that is such a relief - for you and for us ! I can just imagine the look on your face when you checked the incubator and saw that head poking out!

Personally I think their timing is perfect ....serves you right for going away and leaving them!! You now deserve to pay for it with more lost sleep - but it is all for a good cause....a great cause !!

I cant wait to see pics and I do hope the other 2 hatch ok.

I love the way you slip in at the bottom the fact that you found Casper....I wonder how many had realised he had been missing ! No more bad dreams about snakes in your bed . How is he and where was he?

xxx

Lol thanks Ju, I thought it was pretty sneaky!!

Walked into my room, look toward the open built in wardrobes and there he was, got the fright of my life lol.

He seems absolutely fine, he was thirsty and drank for a long time, but apart from that he seems good!

Thanks Simon and everyone else!

News- second hatchling is out and seems very healthy. Nicknamed Lazy. Much bigger than Tiny, but then it did come out of the middle size egg. The big egg is still showing no signs of doing anything, so it may be a few more days before we see anything. Maybe bigger eggs take longer?

Pics have been taken, and I promise I will find my camera cable soon!

Oh SB I am sooooo pleased for you. After the heartache of losing Mushu this is such good news. Mushu's battle wasn't in vain and you have her little babies to show for it. I really hope the last one hatches for you too. Can't wait to see the pics.

And congrats and finding Casper. And no I didn't even realise he was gone lol

So glad Lazy is out safe and healthy! How is Tiny doing? I guess it is just a waiting game with the big egg....but I can just guess how impatient you are !
