We've got no snow, but a few of the schools are closed because of the cold.
Frozen pipes/busted boilers etc.
Makes you wonder why the hell they wait until it's freezing to crank the boiler up only to find out it's broken.

Well it stopped snowing about 2 oclock but it managed to get deep enough for the schools to be closed here.

Snow supposed to be heading our way tonight...so kids gone to school today hoping that they wont be there tomorrow! School closes because of snow or if temperature drops below -3oC. Think they might be in luck tomorrow.

We have snow in Derbyshire. One of my boys got sent home after an hour at school and the other after 2. Actually I'm still waiting for him to get in. we have now had 7cm in 3 1/2 hours and it's still falling. It looks gorgeous.

SNOW DAY!!! Drove 60 MILES to work to be told to turn round and go home. A text from the boss BEFORE I set off would've been nice!!! I actually missed the huge gate at work and kept sliding down the road. OOPs. LOADS of snow ploughs everywhere, they'd be even cooler if they had little smiley faces like on Thomas the Tank Engine. Now I'm "working from home" (code for spending time finding more info on our animals. And maybe, at some point, planning a new lesson plan to offer in summer. But probably not).

A liberal coating of the white stuff here but kids all gutted because school's still open too (if I'm honest I'm peeved cos I work in a pre-school and I'd have liked an extra day off!!).

We're obviously made of stern stuff in Leicestershire!! (although I'm actually Bournemouth native like Phil and I like a but of salty air occasionally)xx

I was supposed to have a driving lesson today but luckily I'm ill. I'd rather feel like this than risk my life on the road

It started snowing again here about 40 mins ago and just seems to be getting faster and snower, looks like the kids could be off tommorow aswell, there was something on the news before about this being the coldest winter in the last 30 years or something, i seem to remember colder myself.

Plenty of snow hear must be about 1 ft deep

Manchester airport still shut and it has taken me 3 hrs to dig my car out the snow to get it on to a main road.
