New snake first feed. I fed 'Rossi' on Monday about 2pm, and have not seen her since, i have tidied up after her changed her water as per norm, not she has not popped her head out since Monday.....is this normal or is she just shy.....????

Mine are pretty much the same , I never see them for a couple of days after a feed . They spend their time digesting the meal in peace and quiet .

Except my little Amel ofc , always about , even after a feed she likes to be nosying :)

Yeah it's normal. They usally chill out digesting their meal for at leats 48 hours

yeah thats normal.. he might also be still getting used to his new home

did i see elsewhere that you only picked him up on monday or am i confusing you with someone else? if you only picked him up on monday then you need to leave him for a week to settle in no feeding no handling just spot checks in the substrate and changing the water

Yeah perfectly, snakes arent very active for around 48 hours after feed! they need this time to digest their food!

Thanks for the info, she (Rossi) usually just site with her head sticking out of the hide she almost looks like she is watching TV.

my juvie girls only ever poke their noses out when they can smell food defrosting, my boys are often out and about being sociable a few days after feeding

both responses are normal though

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos
