Glad you are getting your other corn, at least you will have something to distract you from worrying about Bilbo. Maybe Bilbo will put in appearance when he knows there is a new snake in 'his' house! xxx

Don't give up hope - our Bubbles went missing 4 weeks ago and hasn't turned up yet but I know he will when we least expect it! I know what you mean about missing them - I miss Bubbles every day which sounds soft but really its not. We have two new snakes but still want Bubbles back as he was such a character and very friendly. Keep looking he's there somewhere!

If I could I'd still be putting food out for Bubbles but as he's gone missing in the neighbours house we've had to stop as I think they were getting a bit fed up of having dead mice in every room! Although since they were careless enough to lose him its the least they could do. We kept it up for 2 weeks but after that, when he hadn't touched any of them, we stopped. He's either not in the house or finding his own food from an alternative supply

How long has Bilbo been missing now? I'd persevere with the food and defo keep the water down. I'm sure others will confirm whether this is right or not.

I'm really sorry that you are suffering so much but get some sleep and don't give up. I know its hard but you have to look after yourself as well.

So sorry but as a new snake keeper I am not able to answer your questions.

However I have followed this saga avidly for 9 days, waiting each day for your posts in hopeful anticipation.

Wow what a happy ending, you should make a film.

Bilbo, I am so pleased to hear your news. I know how hard you have tried to find him and you have never given up on him....you are a strong, amazing owner who has been rewarded for your faith with Bilbo's return!! (sorry if that sounds corny!!) Am sure you will be able to give Bilbo the tender loving care he needs to bring him back to full health. He must have been fairly traumatised by his 'adventure' so I could guess that it is a case of slow and steady to reassure him that everything is back to normal. Sure Con can advise you better having been through it.
I know you must now be able to start breathing again (and sleeping) knowing he is safe....and I am sure a lot of us are breathing a sigh of relief too - hated imagining what you were going through.
As for getting the other snake - its up to how you feel....the timing is amazing that just when you are supposed to pick up your new 'Bilbo' the breeder gets sick and then the original 'Bilbo' turns up! Give it some thought. I know you always wanted 2 in the end, so its just a decision of what you get - it may be cool to have twin Bilbo's!! xxx
