I agreed to work this afternoon as a nice favour to one of my friends at the yard who needs to go to the hospital (I'm a riding instructor) and now I am REALLY REGRETTING IT.

I swear I am dying, have been ill all morning, led on the sofa shivering and on the verge of being really sick

and now I have to go and spend 5 hours in the bucketing rain and howling wind trying to teach plebs how to ride!!

has anyone else ever been in this situation? the worst feeling EVER. and I could never in a million years cancel going in.

this may be my last ever post as I may well die at work. good luck to me.

Dunno where you are, but I've got blue skies and lovely sun here.

Oh and sorry for hearing that you have to work when feeling that bad.

So sorry you are feeling so rough SB. Working cant have made you feel any better, especially with the news about the pony. Hope you get chance to really rest up and get well - DONT PUSH YOUR BODY WHEN IT IS SAYING STOP, and yes I am shouting! You have uni to go back to and you need to be fit and well for that. xxx

Seconded. Take it from me. I made that mistake many years ago and paid the price big time when it caught up with me. Don't push yourself too hard.

It is because I pushed myself when I had glandular fever 20 years ago that I am still ill now - so learn from my mistake! xxx

LOL its worth it just to hear you two arguing

anyway, we have 2 badly injured horses at work at the moment which need looking after, and on mondays I am responsible for a special need client that comes for work experience with us- he's very used to me and I promised to take him on a hack on his favourite horse!

so I am going to work! have most of tomorrow off so will recover then.
