I feel sorry for the snakes....lol....I guess he looks after them ok though. I'm sure I'd seen that on TV something to do with a root of a plant that grows in Thailand that neutralizes snake venom. Anyone else remember it?

I do that everyday, NOT im pretty scared of a corn snake bite and that little kid got bit by some big a** water snake... I felt sorry for the snakes, it seemed like they were provoking it and stressing it out a lot. But i suppose thats there culture and thats what they have been brought up with and there is nothing i can do about that. Nice looking snakes though!

Regards,
BBBlake

The thing is what happens when one of them gets bitten badly is it the end for the snake? If so its just plane bad news. Culture is no excuse for not respecting nature in any form. I've had a bit of a think about this since my previous post and really its bad news. If we use culture as an excuse for such practices then the Japanese would have doomed all types of whale to to extinction along with the Asian Rhino and the Asian tiger (all due to cultural practices).
I'm not picking on the japanese just using it as an example. After all we killed off the wolf the beaver and the bear in this country and many other species....Its time to respect what we have, a little more than we do now before its too late......

Wow! They've got some big cahonies...

And I agree with Widey- different cultures need to respect animals such as this to prevent their overexploitation, and incorrect branding as "deadly" creatures. In reality, a cobra would sooner flee than face a human, but practices such as these are leading them to be persecuted rather than admired.

After all, a man with a stick can be deadly too, but we dont kill them when we see them...
