Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I'm on my phone an it's a pain in the butt to use. I was just wondering when my corn snake will be able to go in to a wooden vivarium. I don't think he's a yr old yet as when I got him I wasn't told his age but I've had him since February this year his box said cb12 I think. His last shed was last month an the skin was 2ft long and he weighs 35G.
I was just wondering as I now have an empty 4ft long x 2 ft wide and high vivarium sat empty since the lizard died

As long as you put lots of hides and foliage in for cover and make sure its escape proof I can't see any reason you can't put him in now. They like to feel safe hence all the cover they need. You could do it and leave him in the faun, place the faun in the viv decorated and open the hatch and let him wander, knowing he has his safety with him. |

Hmm would he be better if I could maybe block one half of the vivarium off so its only a 2x2 ft for now.? Would he need the uv bulb/ spot light or still just the heat mat? I don't think there's any way he'd be able to escape unless its through the slidey glass front |

My lot have always been in terrainiums since we got them. Never had an issue, i think your snake would be fine as long as enough hides were provided. |

He doesn't need a uv bulb or spot light, just a heat mat and maybe a low energy light bulb. |

If you think its better to block half of viv then do it, but if there are plenty hides and cover (like dunelm ivy) will be fine |
