Hello,

I'm thinking about trying to breed corns this year. Although I want to make sure I have the suitable housing available.

As everyone knows I'm a crazy Ikea fan. So could this be used?

I don't see why not, the tubs would need lids though. There is a rectangular Trofast storage unit that may be better so you could stack them.

1.2.4 Corn Snakes - Carolina, 2 x Bloodred het Lavender, Amel, Snow, Anery and Carolina.
0.0.1 Cali King - Ziggy - escaped!!
RIP Princess x

Got to run this past the O/H. Don't want to breed them, if they can't be housed

You may be able to pick some viv vents up on Ebay that will fit the holes or you may have to make the holes bigger to fit. The problem I can see is there is no way to lock the lids down to stop them escaping.

I think the lids will be strong enough. My main concern is where would the heat strip go?

You could convert a wardrobe into a breeding rack saw it done a few times, the wardrobes from ikea are ideal because you can purchase the extra shelves that are cut to fit :)

Female normal - Cyrus (can't think of a girl name :p)

Male charcoal - Midnight

Female amel - Lilly

Female CB13 anery 100% het sunkissed - Ariel.

Male CB13 fire 100% het stripe, 50% het hypo, anery and lavender

The best thing I've ever used for hatchlings are small lockable food tubs from asda, they are only £1 each. Vents get melted in with a soldering iron on the sides and lid because they are air tight tubs :)

If you want an excuse to go shopping in Ikea, something like this: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00111994/ is perfect for heat cable to be run along the shelves, you'll get the whole lot done with one cable. While you're in Ikea, get some Glimma tea light holders, thety make perfect hatchling water dishes :)
