I have just returned from the S.W.A.R.E event. With another addition. A California king snake. George is only 8 months old in a 4 1/2 ft vivarium. I was thinking of putting my California king who's CB11 into George's vivarium moving George into a 3 1/2 ft? What's people's thoughts and would there be anything to do before doing this?
Advice appreciated |

congrats on the new addition, we need photos once he's settled! I would quarantine the new arrival in a different room to George. Also as long as you disinfect the viv and decor before you put the new addition in to it that should be fine. Don't forget that Kings like a slightly higher warm end so you'll need to adjust your thermostat too. |

Oh, congrats - I saw a lady walking out with a king snake... I haven't bought ANYTHING ( cries quietly ).
As above - quarantine the new snake, and disinfect everything, before using it again. I would leave a little time between using George's things for the new snake, just to allow George's scent to disappear completely. I found that when I re used some of Bazils old stuff for Little T - I disinfected and washed it quite well, but he could still smell her, and boycotted the hides for a while. |

Yay, new addition - we want pics!!! I think that would be a good way of doing things as obviously George won't need that amount of space yet. Just, as above, make sure you quarantine the new arrival in a separate room for at least 3 months :D |

Thanks for the advice, I'm sharing the stat with George, at the moment but have it set at around 30 degrees, hope this will be ok until I get another one.
Starting to build a new viv next week, so happy that my GF caved in and has now become a snake lover. Think shes about to join the kings forum.
After a long domestic travelling the A48, listening to my 3 year old daughter screaming that I'm not allowed to call her 'Cali', its Belle or Snow White.
Here is a picture of the little Beauty! She's only in a 30L Rub, not sure if this is ok? But the 4FT tank will be done by next week.
Any Ideas on the morph ?
