I've been told its a "amel banded motley"? Is this correct? Thank-you-please

Amel x banded is something shops put on them to make them more appealing x lovely snake x

What does its belly look like? If it has checkers on its ventral scales then it isn't a motley.

Banded is a selectively bred form of motley where the patches on the back blend with the side patterns to make it look like a 'band' around the snake. The picture is a little unclear but it looks like there is a gap between the back and the side patterns, if so then I wouldn't call it a banded, just an amel motley if its belly has no pattern on it.

Thanks and noooo I dont buy from pet shops I got him from a local small time breeder... had his first feed 5 mins ago whoop whoop!

yeah sorry pic isnt the best only took one as i didnt wanna disturb him too much and yeah the "bands" have a gap in them

no, not a banded. I can't tell from that photo if he's motley or not.
