Hello,
I was just wondering what was the rough age of ppl snakes when they were moved up to 2 x pinks?
As Smokey wad born on 6th June and still only on 1 x pink?

| I moved Rubi up when about 6 months but think may of been later than should. From what i know need to move up when stops leaving a visable bump, but cant tell you what age that should be sorry. |

| alib as mentioned moving food size up doesnot go by age it is when you cant see a bump in the snake all are differnt so just keep an eye on the bump |

There is no set age that they should be moved up as every snake is different. As Rubi said, the best thing to do is to move up when it stops leaving a visible bump.
No harm is looking for a guesstimate though 
Apollo was already on double pinks when I got him so unfortunately I don't know for sure how old he is or what age he was moved onto double pinks, but he was on double pinks in early September 2011 so assuming he was hatched during the 'normal' period he could have been anything from 2-6 months old at the time.
I am looking forward to going through the whole process with Titan and my other two soon to be newbies so that I don't miss anything like that |

As above no set age snowdrop was having double pinks at 2.5 months ,fuzzies now just under 5 months. She is growing at a much faster rate than fred and barney who are on small mice at 18 months.
It is a case of checking your snake and if no bump move up a food size. |

| Thanks for all the feedback every 1 :) I will keep an eye on it then. At the moment I think there is still a small bump after he has had it. I am amazed ay how fast he can eat it tho so I wonder if he is ready to go onto 2 pinks. Might give it a few weeks and see how he is. May be try after his next shed? |

I have 2 clutchmates the same age at just over 9 weeks, the snow was still searching around after being fed and would not settle, she only had a slight bump after feeding, so I nervously decided to give her a pinkie and a half (head) this has seemed to do the trick, she now has a better bump after feed, whereas the amel clutchmate (same age) is still only on 1 pinkie, there is a good difference in size between them, well to me anyway, as I've had them both from quite young, and my bloodred is 2 days younger than snow and amel, and is even smaller than both of them
So it's all down to what the snakes can handle really |
