I like having something to look after

I've always had pets from when i can remember, and when my last little ratty died on New Years Day, i thought right that's it, no more pets! 7 months later and i have 1, soon to be 2 snakes!

When I've had other pets I never used to worry at all. Since owning snakes there's always something on your mind about them

I suppose that's true in respect to snakes, there is always something to be thinking about!

My reasons for getting a snake in the first place were they are relatively inexpensive to look after, and don't need loads of time with you, compared to say a dog, cat, rat. I like having animals around the house, and at the moment snakes seemed the best option.

I was NOT aware how addictive they are and the worry they cause lol! Soooo worth it though

It's all worth it I spend most of my free time (hah!) looking after my menagerie but they give as much back as I put into them. The snakes are the least labour intensive of any of my pets, yet I find myself thinking about them the most...weird.
