When I looked into my snake's viv this morning I found what I thought to be a vomitted fuzzy. However, my snake has never vomitted before and so I had no idea what such a thing looks like so I hit the Internet. The problem I'm having is that what I found in Bolan's viv is nothing like what I found online since rather than a partially digested food item, I found an almost entirely digested food item with a few whole parts (a few limbs and what looked to be a part of the head). So what I'm wondering is has he vomitted or was his food just not totally digested when he pooed it out (if that's even possible)? He was fed Friday night and this is only his third time eating a fuzzy. He's been as active as he usually is after feeding and yesterday he was exploring quite happily. He's very alert and looking at him, there's no signs of ill health so I don't know what could be wrong. |

Check all of your temps to make sure everything is working ok and leave him completely alone for 10 days just going in to change water. A read of this sticky should help

Easiest way to tell if it was snake puke is did it stink. I dont mean smell bad, I mean sting the nostrils, burn the eyeballs, peel the wall paper, slay an Elephant stench.
Also this is a weird place where posting pictures of poo and puke is actively encouraged lol. If you dont know what it is, post a picture.
At a guess I would say it was poo, you would have mentioned the stench if it was vomit, it is the most noticeable thing about it. Poop comes in all manner of consistencies but only ever smells of poop. lol. |

No smell to speak of, really. The only thing that made me think it was vomit was the chunkiness of it when usually his poo is runny (sorry, if that's a TMI). I really would've posted a picture but when I saw it, I disposed of it right away and then almost immediately kicked myself as I realised it would be much harder to get a second opinion. Oops :/ |

As lotabob said generally with regurges u smell it before you even open the viv up, that's how bad the smell is |

Is pooing out undigested food possible? Can it pass through their intestines? I thought if is passed then it was digested and if it is not completely digested then they would regurge? |

To be honest, I was assuming they were limbs and head parts. It was really hard to tell as the whole thing was just a sticky mass with a certain... lumpy quality. |
