Woke up this morning and found shelly on her back. Shes only 5 years old. The other day i checked the air temp is the viv and it was sky high so ive turned on my heat mates off and just using the air temp. This kept the tank around 29 mark. But i dont know what else could have happened

Sort to hear it mate. Ya stat should of turned mat off if the temp got high anyway. My vivs run high in this weather. I just make sure they have a nice big bowl of water.
The stat did turn off but the viv were in direct sun light so now im gonna put them in the coolest room so its only heating is the mats and not the sun light.

oh damn that sucks mate im so sorry id be absolutely gutted the coldest room in my flats the bedroom i keep it that way on purpose because of my breathing so i always have at least one cool room to retreat too so the snakes are all in the living room
