| Hopefully bringing my first corn home tomorrow, shall I put the heat mat on in the morning so it's a nice temperature by tomorrow afternoon? |

what do you mean how I am setting up?
I've got the Monkfield 24" enclosure, popped the small heat mat between the glass at the bottom of it, plugged it into the thermostat.
Tied the thermostat probe and the digital thermometer probe together and poked through the hole in the back of the enclosure.
Popped some aspen into the tank, got a cave hide one end and a coco hide the other, put a small (shallow) water dish in and got pinkies in the freezer.
Is that what you mean? I hope so because otherwise Ive missed something  |

ahhh would LOVE to do it tonight but stupid me forgot the reptile safe cleaning stuff, I'm such a wally  I could make up a mild detergent but don't know enough about how mild so I'll just dash out first thing and get the proper stuff that I know is safe for my snakey.
I've visited lots of different shops and talked to countless people, some "expert" some not so much  lol but then I found this place and things started to make sence, which is lucky for my snakey right?? |

| You need to get things turned on asap - it will take a little while for you to get the temps stable unless you are really lucky!! You certainly don't want to be leaving it until you've got the snake unless you don't have that option. |

I cleaned the viv out in the night with warm water and set everything up so we're up and running  |

referring to viraleye, we do get a lot of people who have been given bad/wrong advice so i was just checking, sounds like you're gonna be a fab snake parent :) |

here's my new snakey with no name bless her - now she's here and I've taken her picture I'm going to leave her to settle into her new home, hope you like her and name ideas are welcome

Oh wow she is beautiful!!
She's not an amel though, she doesn't have red eyes (look at Jinx in Lupi's sig and Ember in mine)! I'd say she looks like a hypo motley - which personally I would say is even better and I'm very jealous of lol!!) |
