My son got a new toy today. A pirates of the caribbean ship. Let cola have a crawl on it and she found a little space to hide, well wedged in and no signs of coming out. She comes out a little then when I get close she shoots back in. Will post some pics when I get a chance. Little bugger won't come out.

I think you are just going to have to wait this one out, unless its time for a feed then you may have a chance of coaxing him out :)

well she came out after a 5 hour sit in and she looked so smug. Ate both pinkies and then back in her rub. Sure I heard her laugh.

Hi guys , noobie to all this, but have adopted 2 beautiful corns ( Edmund & Sweet) from a rescue centre . They had been there a while and were very well looked after , no problems at all . Both are around 2 years old and since coming to live with us , which is around a week now , Edmund retreats into a log they both love as soon as he see's us won't come out . Sweet is a brave little soul and pretty much knocks on the vavarium glass to come out . Overly worried mum & dad ?

a lot of snakes retreat to their hides when they know someone is coming. they can take a few weeks to settle in, he/she will get more used to you with time

I was handling Saphira once while behind my desk, not realizing that my desk chair had a hole in the side. She crawled into the seat of the chair, and before I knew it she was giggling at me from inside. Took me ages to get her to come out as well... :p
