sneak it in keep it in your room and say nothing till he notices. then just say it was given to you and you've had it for ages... worked with every pet i've had  now my dad just looks at me |

Erm not a lot really, maybe plant some women's underwear in his car and tell Mum, HAHA.
If that doesn't work ask him to at least come and have a look at one at a reptile shop, he may have a mental impression of snakes that is totally incorrect but don't tell him you think he is scared of them. Learn your stuff, and talk to him about them, show its not a passing fad but something you really want to get into. They dont take a lot of work but they do take a lot of commitment, they live a long time. |

| i went down the route of finding out what my mums objections were and found away of placating her, also i just kinda wore her down till she broke! it's a method i know works well with her!also i told a tiny porkie about the size that 8 could reach! hehe. wait and see if wannacornsnaketeen has any sujestions, she just about convinced her rents and has done a cool powerpoint!! |

| When I was 16 I worked at a rescue centre and I fell in love with a dog and decided that I would like to take her home. My mum said it was fine but my dad said NO. I threatened to move out into a caravan if I could not take the dog home. Needless to say mum talked dad round. Mums are wonderful |

On a serious note if my daughter wants anything she just goes through her mum and between them slowly wear me down, anything for a peaceful life. Have a word with mum and if I were you I'd forget about the underwear strategy

one thing suggested to wannacornsnake that I thought was sensible was the aim higher than you really want strategy- eg ask for a 20 foot python then 'compromise' on a much smaller safer nicer snakey.....
all depends on yr peeps tho, I spose. us oldies vary more than you think

| My boyfriend bought me one for my 18th, so my parents couldnt complain due to it being a prezzy. They came around to it quickly and now ask me to get it out to hold it lol. |
