Kevin has shed and I can't find all of it. The body of the shed was intact a missing tail end, which I have found, but the head section was in pieces. My main concern is the eye caps. One was still hanging on the shed so I know he has shed one of them but the other is missing. I have looked through the substrate but its impossible to see it. I have had Kevin out and all seems well. Both eyes look the same from what I can see and there is no sigh of skin shed stuck around his eye. Is it safe to assume that he has shed the eye cap? Are there any particular signs I need to look out for over the next couple of days that would indicate a retained eye cap?

Thank you

on close eamination of the snake you'll normally see tiny raggy bits of stuck shed aound the eye itself to indicate a retained eyecap
if both eyes look the same it's prolly just got lost in the substrate somewhere
