HIya i recently joined and i was thinking of getting my corn snake next week, i just wanted to ask before i buy the viv (first set up) I will be getting an hatchling but not a tiny one, (apologies if the ones slightly bigger arent called that) it looks to be maybe a foot long, my question is should i put this is the smaller sized viv, like the plastic ones? i have seen one which says suitable for snakes, its measurements are 37x26x22cm, will this be suitable or should i buy a bigger one? I read that someone said dont put it in a viv too big or it will feel insecure, but at the same time i dont want to make it feel restricted. If this viv size is suitable, up to what length would it be suitable for?

What length would they be ok in them upto? also (sorry for being a pest) i'm also buying a 2 foot viv this weekend too so it will be ready for when it leaves the faunarium, silly question but with babies (human kinds lol) i used to put their moses basket inside their cots so they would be aware of their surroundings and wouldnt feel as scared from going into the moses basket into the cot......so my daft question (but sensible to me) is would i be ok to put the faunarium, inside the vivarium so it will get used to the bigger viv when it looks out of the faunarium etc it will see the viv? sorry if it sounds stupid, im not gormless really =0) |

Length + width so 76cm which is about 2.5ft. Mine is currently 18in (46cm.
It would be fine to do that also. Many users on here already do that. It adds an extra layer of security should the hatchling get out of the plastic faun. So would be a good idea to make sure the Viv is nice an hatchie proof too.
I havent done this however as i couldnt afford to buy the viv at the same time. And it'll be approx 6months before it needs upgrading.
Doesnt sound stupid at all. Its what this forum is here for, to answer these sorts of questions. Believe me i asked a few stupid ones not so long ago. Only had my snake around one and a half months. |

| Haha well my parents say my home is like a zoo lol, so im a member on numerous forums for some of my pets =0).....i recognised your nanem from my welcome post or it may be from one of the other threads now not sure, lack of sleep makes me gormless lol, and i passed comment to my hubby that the name tallulah was adorable..........how can a cat that looks so cute be a pain in the ass lol |

I'd give anyone 10mins of being in a room with her before she finds some way to annoy you, or just blindly attack you!
She was orignally called Bruce. We and the vets thought she was a boy, until we took her back for further jabs etc. So i think she is just getting back at us. When we tell her off she has the cheek to answer us back! |
