Assuming she was hatchling when you got her it would make her coming up for a year? I would have her on fuzzies if the pinkies are not leaving a bump and she is not filling out. What weight is she?

i have a female who is almost a year, she's almost 2 ft long, bought her 2 months ago from a reptile shop and she's quite thin, when i bought her she was only on 1 pinky a week, so i increased this to 2 pinky's every 5 days, she's now on 2 fuzzies and a pinky every 5/6 days and the plan is to move her onto double fuzzies in the coming weeks till she puts some weight on enough to move up another size.

Corn snakes aren't fat so its a good thing she isn't getting fatter but at around a year old 2 pinkies does sound like the wrong food size although not necessarily, these little guys all grow at different rates. I saw a huge growth spurt with Spot when he went to fuzzies.

I wouldn't faff around with mixing pinkies and fuzzies, just feed a mouse that is 1.5 times the thickness of your snake at its thickest point every 7 days and move up sizes as required.

She does not look thin to me. They all vary greatly when it comes to length and weight for example; I have two 11 month olds, one weighs 175g and is just over 2ft long. I have another the same age that weights 140g but is over 2 and 1/2 ft long. Then I have two that are 9 months old so not that much younger than the first two but one weighs 45g and the other weighs 25g and looks about the same size as yours. I am trying to get my smallest on to fuzzies because as lotabob said they really start putting weight on then. I would try with a small fuzzy and see how it goes. Beautiful little snake by the way :) Can I just say that I am surpised that you are concerned, with such a list of reptiles.

She looks about the same size as lilly, she weighed in at 31g when i first gave her a fuzzie (a small one though) and that was 3 July, by her 3rd fuzzy feed on 14th (i feed her every 5 days) she was 38g, i admit she did have a pinky or 2 with the fuzzy, but she was only putting on 1g a week with pinky's, so her weight is really starting to go up, she's just gone into blue, but she seems to be getting a little bigger - only time will tell.

I know how you feel. My smallest is still having pinkies 3 at a time combined weight of 8g!! But he still doesn't want to take fuzzies. I think I am going to have to be strong and not give into his fads and let him miss a week if he refuses the fuzzy. Its so hard though. It makes me feel guilty because I know if I offer him pinkies instead he would eat them. Good luck.

she looks around the same size as our philip, also a 2010 corn, he grew very slowly on pinks but since putting him on fluffs, hes started to really grow :)
