| why does the bulbs blow so much, every few months as its on 24/7 my bulbs blew, it did it a few months ago, problem is its midnight and i cant get to the local store till tommorow, well im working tommorow and will have to send my dad, so it will only be fitted when im home, hes not been fed luckily ! will he be ok though till tommorow? i have a heatmat i cud put in but might it burn him |

| he will be fine till you replace the bulb. they are quite resilient little beasts |

| I had bulbs and they used to die every year, had one year where it actually blew up and shattered! I don't see why you would think a heatmat would burn him any more than a bulb? |

| Give up on the bulbs, buy a thermostat and use that with your heatmat, safe as houses :) |
