Fed my snake for the first time on 13/06/11 he had one pinky but hasn't yet done his business. how long does it usually take and what is the rules on handling before he goes?

you can handle the snake 48 hrs after the feed as it will give them time to digest properly. Mine poo within a couple of days of eating. xx

mine usually poo about 48 hrs after a feed, i try to avoid handling till they've been as i do get covered otherwise but its a personal choice once those 48 hrs are up

depends on what the snake is fed on!
if its a pinkie then it will be small and smell a bit.. just watch out for the tail raising and the lower body almost pulsating towards the vent area - that's when you need to get the tissue out or put the snake back in its housing!!
