My daughter tapped her fingers on the faun and cilla came up to the glass to have a look then striked does that mean she dont like it or maybe she is hungry and thinks its food ?

no doesnt think its food, was being defensive. Tapping the faun will stress out the snake so suggest you try to get your kids nit to.
