I have felt and heard it too. I initially noticed it with one of the new ones and thought maybe somehting was wrong with him. I decided to wait to see if he would eat ok before getting too worried. I'v noticed it with one of my more established corns too since then. Maybe it is just like us cracking our knuckles

Is it like when you've just washed the pots and run your finger down a plate it has that squeaky creaky type sound and feeling. I can feel Spot's scales rub together and they do squeak and creak. I was checking it wasn't accompanied by a jerking movement as that is a sneeze type thing, which sounds a lot like a click.

I don't know about Boswells but in mine it seems more internal than the scales

If its internal it might be a breathing thing, is there any mucus in the nostrils or nasal cavity (if you know how to look) or around the mouth. Have you noticed the mouth open even just a little bit or panting, gasping etc?

I know for sure it's not a respiratory problem.

A couple of mine click like that sometimes, sounds a bit like if you crack your knuckles.
As i've heard it a few times over the years, I just take it as a sound of awesomeness that is my snakes.

Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better.
