What do you think is the best second snake for a beginner? Not even got my first corn yet and am thinking about 2 snakes lol |
Dakota ~ Bloodred Corn ~ Amber & Chloe ~ Cats Mind is changing on snakes I want now lol so am researching these to find out what would be best - Milk Snakes and Dwarf Boa possibly - Crawl Cay, Sonoran, Tarahumara or Vera Cruz and poss a Hoggie, African House and Rat snake. Also Trinket Snakes. |

depends what you want from a snake, kings are great but can be feisty, although neither of mine are, royals are good but can get stressy and dont eat all the time and that may stress the owners out. struggling to find the downside to Boas . |

Kingsnakeeeeeeeeeee XD mine isn't feisty, he is always active and likes to trash his viv but apart from that he is so calm and cuddly once out! I could snuggle him all day :3 apart from that milks, royals and small boas. Maybe a hoggie or a BRB? |
A very special super, duper thanks for K :3 |

Ohh black ratsnakes... ^^
I would just look at lots of different types of snakes and morphs and pick the one you like the most and then research about it! Or you could make like a wishlist and wait until you decide which one you definitely want next lol |

I second Staples suggestion. Take a look at any faves, whittle it down with some research and then pick the snake the makes you say "WOW" and seems the most fascinating. |

I can reccommend both the Royal and Boa. Though Royals can be fussy little gits. So far my Boa has been far easier in just about every way. |

I love MBKs, (Mexican Black Kingsnakes) the shop a frequent will have some in a few weeks and I will be going and having a look, unfortunately I have a spare RUB setup and will find it very hard to not bring one home as I have made myself a pledge to not get any snakes until after July. |

I've got a cali king and she is a real character, has a great temperament and is always mellow. Down side, she craps a lot. My personal choice would probably be a royal. That's only from my short experience with Tia. She's slow and easy to handle and best of all she only poos every now and then and that's always on a tile under a hide (easy to clean ) I haven't experienced it yet, but the only real downside can be the fussy eating. I'd love a boa, but I think my better half would put her foot down. |

Yey, Royals are lovely, one question for you first though, are you a calm person? |
