Hi Charlie is now 3months old about a ft long but still hatchling skinny! Not had him weighed as he still being gently tamed but, I fed him monday on a pinkie and he swallowed within min and half. He retreated to hide but was back out within an hour seemingly looking for his escape.
I fed him again today on a pinkie and he swallowed him within a minute and he went into his hide for less than ten minutes and he is back out apparently looking for escapes again but I dont see a bump in him at all.
I cant help feel he is needing more food? Should I offer him another pinkie now? or when? he is really active like he is searching when usually he goes into his hide and I dont see him for a day or two. I've had him about 3-4 weeks now so it could tie in with him being more confident OR he is ready for more food?

Advice greatly apprechiated?

I don't think I fed mine 2 pinkies untill he was about 5 months old, but people move up at different rates it all depends on the snake.

You could try two pinkies next feed, If you fed him today I would wait until next friday and try him with two pinkies then, then feed him 2 every friday (atleast thats what I would do, others might advise otherwise) :)
You might find that he won't take the 2nd pinky, even though people say theyre oppurtunist feeders, Doyle didn't take his 2nd pinky till he was abit older, now he's just greedy! :D

Well he was swaying about his viv and causing me total distraction as its so unlike him usually he hides,, it could be he is settling in and venturing more but he was just sat staring swaying and searching I defrosted another pinkie! As soon as I put it in he slithered off to hide and so i've left in on a thick leaf he seems to like feeding off...... he's still hiding now i've put it in but spent the last hour almost stalking me it seems pmsl! If its still there in the morning I shall take it away. there is absoloutely no tell tale sign I fed him today, he is greedy though he takes it quick and swallows quick! I just got this overwhelming feeling he was still hungry.. but since putting in the extra he has gone to hide!!!!! after spending an hour hovering up the glass of the viv as if in searching mode.
Hope Im doing the right thing leaving it there till morning?? Dont want to undrfeed him he seems to have grown A LOT in the three weeks ive had him he has shed twice!!!

I doubt you're under feeding him, especially if he's shed twice in 3 weeks.
Just take the pinky out in the morning if he hasnt taken it, it's fine to leave it over night. Then feed him next week.

when theyre hovering around after feeding, I dont think it always means theyre still hungry, Doyle does it even when he's had a meal that has obviously filled him up! I think it's just cus they can smell it and theyre like 'ooh i smell food!' kinda like when you eat too much food just because you can smell it ! (atleast I do ;D )

Thanks guys! Charlie is due to have a whole tank clean out. I have a 3foot viv that his tank is in. Would it be fine to let him roam that whilst I clean out his whole tank? I need to boil his decorations as I put his pinkies on his big leaf plant plus wash everything out so he would be in the big viv for about half hour ish?
