I have 4, 2 are babies and don't make a sound. The adults can sometimes decide that they are hyper at certain times of the year and try to dig through their substrate and climb on things and fall off. When you turn the light on to look at them and see what the hell they are doing to make all that noise they kinda stop still like they are trying to blame the noise on something else lol Apart a few weeks of the year, I don't hear them. I do occasionally hear one of my big snakes sneeze too. |
A very special super, duper thanks for K :3 |

All mine are in my bedroom, and they're not bothersome at all. Inface I used to have rats in my room (before I got snakes) and they were 100% more noisy, as were hampsters etc.

Must have just been the hot weather that made Twilight so noisy then. Still, I like him in the computer room. We're in there a lot of the time and whenever I turn around in my chair I find him looking at me. He likes trying to wriggle under the keyboard - he used to fit OK but doesn't seem to notice that he's a bit too big now. Saracen does it too but as he's larger, the keyboard just rests on his back and moves around with him like the shell on a turtle! |

We used to 'only' have 60 snakes in the spare room, without a door on it, the worst that happened is one of the boas got out and knocked a load of stuff off the top of his viv, other than that it was only the carpet pythons falling off whatever tiny ledge they had found, a 6' snake makes quite a bump!! Now with the door on, we rarely hear anything, unless the big girls get out, then entire racks and vivs move, we notice that! They got a while ago, 4am, I got in there just in time, as the big big girl was underneath the adult corn rack, lifting it up, and it was close to falling off the viv its on!!!!
However, I have never in the time I had had snakes in the bedroom, been kept up by them. |

Waking nightmare!
Have you noticed they always plan this stuff for the worst possible time - the middle of the night, or when the vet's local surgery's closed, or you're just rushing out, or whatever ...? |
