ok, my little corn slinky started the shedding process a while back, and last night i noticed about a quarter of a shed in the faun (the head/eyes and a few inches after that).

I searched around for ages and couldnt find any more skin. Ive handled slinky since then, and observed him climbing his tree, exploring etc, and he looks fine, i cant see any traces of left over skin on his body.

If there was skin left on him, would it be very easy to spot? im a little confused to be honest

cheers all

I found it underneath all the aspen, like he had tunnelled through it to help him remove it :) now to measure it is it just a straight measurement or do u have to add/remove a few inches?

when measuring it the general rule is to take the full length then subtract 10% to take into account the skin stretching
glad you found the rest of his shed though - if you look over his body you should notice if theres any retained shed - some scales may have a cloudy appearance or there will be strips of retained shed
