I'm not worried as such, but more wondering as to what could case my big male Blitz to yawn all the time.. do snakes get tired?

He's about 5/6 years old, and roughly 4feet in length.

It seems to be every time he wakes up in a sense, like humans do, whenever he pokes his head out of his hide he does it, I saw him do it last night and just now.

It's a very pale pink in there, and he opened it for about 6 seconds, I saw down his throat, there was no mucus or gunk in there. temps currently 27.3 and 22.1..

Hmm.. Any MATURE* imput would be appreicated, cheers.

*you know who you are.

Pale pink is the "correct" healthy colour - you have nothing to worry about.

Wasn't worrying or so mate, just a bit curious.

Fair enough, didn't think he'd be realligning his jaws, as he fed last week, or have any sypmtoms of an R.I as it's not too humid in there or damp.

Did I not make that big and clear enough?

I'm not gonna lie I was either expecting you or Phil or Graeme to excell yourselves, tbh that was a poor attempt.

Maybe he is just sizing you up? Or perhaps he is pointing an imaginary finger into his mouth, and saying 'feeeeeeeed me'.
If its none of those then its prob just his 'thing', not that 'thing', more of a habit?
Just take it easy over the next week, otherwise he may get tired!

That depends tom! If you just got up, maybe seeing a pinky had fuelled his hunger?
Just a thought, you know I try and be helpful.

As expected a mature response from me Tom (sorry to disappoint you!!).

Kellog did exactly the same thing for a while after he started eating again following his breeding fast. I dont know if I am right but I put it down to him stretching him jaw muscles and limbering them up again after they have been inactive for so long....just a (mature) thought....
