Gobo decided after redecorating that he would move the probes off the mat after I left for work.

I came back and realised he had moved them.

It had reached 37C.

I may have shouted at him for being a stupid snake

I then went cable tie happy.

Grrrrrrrrr

LOL has happened to the best of us mate I wouldnt worry too much so long as gobo is unharmed is all that matters and that you caught it as quick as you possibly could have by good snake keeping. Well done!!

So glad you caught it in time and Gobo wasnt harmed Moina.

Had the same thing with Silvesta....came in and found that the temp was 31oC and the stat probe was pointing sky high!! At least he hadnt moved the temp probe as well so it was still in touch with the heatmat and showed me that the temp was way too high.

Now they are weighed down with rocks that he CANNOT move (I hope ).

Keep trying to convince the OH to buy a spare stat so that we have one available if either Kellog or Silvesta's malfunctions....but he is a hard man to convince !

spare stats are good to have! I'm gonna have to get another soon anyway, as I borrowed one off Mike, and really should give it back with all the snakes he's got on the way!!!

I've cable-tied the stat probe and therm probe to the heat mat. Unless Gobo's good with clippers, (and has a pair!) there's no way they're coming apart! Thus my cunnin plan, as he keeps shifting the mat about too, so they're always like one unit! :D

The little goit!
