How old is he and are you sure its male?
He could be horny, that would put him off his food although im not sure wether its the same when you are force feeding them and wether or not he would go to the extent of throwing it back up. |

have you taken him to a vets? if its happened more than 3/4 times i would take him to see a specialist, persistant regurgitation could indicate a more serious issue that him not wanting to eat |

I dont know what sex it is (its just easier to say he than it). He hatched sept 09 has never showed any signs of eating on his own.I havent taken him to a vet as the force feeding was going ok also the nearest herp vet is long distance away i feel that if it was something serious there would be more signs |

him regurging for several weeks in a row is a pretty big sign in my opinion, if its a long way to the vets see if you can ring the vet and explain whats going on and maybe he could suggest what to do.. |

yeh im begining to think that myself, i just keep trying, he has such great character i couldnt stand by and let him die. I just find it strange how it eventually stays down he drinks, poos normally though only shed 3times, im thinking of trying a syringe like one you can use for babies to give medicine in the mouth just a bit unsure if it would work or not. |

yeh if seen them before but heard that they can be really dangerous if your not experienced as they go right down their throat and can cause alot of damage even death i wouldnt be confident in trying that. The one i was thinking of is a syringe without a needle its only got a short nozzle maybe if i liquidized the pinkie he wouldnt have the size of it being solid to push back up |

the only thing with using a syringe is that sometimes a large amount of air can be ingested at the same time as pinkie.. |

If he has never fed on his own then there is a serious problem right there. Does he have kinks or bumps down his spine? Have you tried using some other methods? Live is an option, might kick start his natural insticts, fresh kill is also an option, and things like braining etc. To be honest, if nothing works then its highly liky not to survive without severe intervention. |

What's the longest period of time you've left it without forcing a feed? - It's probably quite stressed with the whole thing and may need to be left alone for a few weeks before offering a feed. |

he was born with kinks in his spine which are not as prominent now and do not restrict his movement. he was assist fed fed about 6wks after he hatched with tiny bits of pinkie then he stoped trying and was force fed which was going fine until now, he has never even tried to bite me and since hatching he has been very active. As for the vet this was discussed on the forum a while back it is unlikley a vet would do anything for him as he is so small it is also a good distance away to the nearest herp vet. He is only 11inches long and under a cm in width. I chopped up a pinkie and used the syringe tonight it was abit messy but i got 80% of it down him a bit at a time |
