| I presumed that as the water went up and down so did the boat, so the tide coming in didn't make a difference? |

I had a physics teacher that told us alot of riddles. Here is a long one:
A princess falls in love with a poor man and they are sat in a court yard outside of the castle. The court yard has black and white pebbles on the floor and is surrounded by a hedge. The king finds out that they are going to get married and gathers a few soliders with him to confront them. The king and his men get to the courtyard and he questions them and they confirm the rumour. The poor man pleas with the king. The king then makes a deal with the man he says:
"I will put two stones from the floor into my hat, one black, one white. If you pick the white one, you can marry my daughter, if you pick the black one, i will kill you."
To the mans horror, the king puts two black stones into his hat, out of the view of the gaurds. How does the man get out of it? |
