Yup it's nearly the next York Reptile Night

It's on Sunday 3rd August, from 7pm at The Locomotive, 4 Watson Street, York, YO24 4BH

All welcome, including supervised children and (obviously) reptiles!

IT'S FREE - just turn up have a chat, have a drink and handle a few snakes.

Damn, I'm laid up for this week and next, there's no way I'm getting permission to go out! - Just typical.

Thanks to Beenie for coming with me so I wasn't a billy-no-mates again. It was a lot busier than last month, nearly 20 people there (although some OH's looked like they'd come for a drink rather than the reps ) I took Beech (fat amel) and there were 4 burmese python hatchlings (rather feisty!) and I think about 10 sinder boas all told.

Dave 'reptiles-ink' on the other forum showed me how to probe Beech and his feisty burms! I've never been pee'd on by a snake before........

not seen that yet, my loyalties are here and I read here first *nods*

I would give it a go, it was quite interesting, Dave probed quite a few while I was there so I feel more confident now.

Dave had a set of proper probes in different sizes, when I've seen them done in pet shops they've used a straightened out paperclip! Might invest in a corn-sized probe as I don't really like that idea.
