The BRB will go in one eventually, however they are all 3-footers, so a bit big for now.
Wiggle will move into one of them, probably with a male partner when she's old enough |

wow that was quick! I'd still be tempted to use them with the RUBs/smaller vivs inside the big new ones. |

I've just been trying out a new Stat/light in one of the new vivs. I have a digital thermometer probe at the same place as the stat probe so that I know the temperature.
It seems to be cutting out at about 31.5C but not turning on again until about 27C. I would say that 31.5 was a bit warm, but if I turn it down it will also reduce the temperature it comes on at, any ideas?
Cheers |

sounds like a dimming stat ?
Have you put the sensor probe from the stat on the heat source or right next to it ?
That with the thermo probe will give you a more accurate rerading all round.
Other wise it will be ok for it to rise & drop a couple of degrees as long as the temp doesn't exceed 32*C for the hot end for long periods. |

Cheers MM, its not a dimming stat, its a MICROclimate International Ministat 300. (On/Off Thermostat)
http://www.microclimate.co.uk/MiniStat.htm
I have an Exo Terro Infra Red Spot on the ceiling of the viv and the stat probe and thermometer probe (those Hagan marina ones we got) on the floor underneath the spot.
The stat is coming on at ~27C and cutting out at ~31.5C.
Does that sound ok to you?

Obviously if I turn it down a bit, the low end of that range will drop too, but if I turn it up it will overshoot above 31.5C. This is about the best I've managed to get, not very stable!
My other option is that I bought 1 of those table lamp dimmers you suggested. |
