Cracking little snake, not sure of sex yet. Its doing well put a ice cream top in there with an hole in top, my mate whos like a snake expert said thats what they like but im using newspaper as bedding and its just hiding underneath the layers. It did try to bite me just now i went to get him out and he swung round and flew towards me think i startled him. Got a nice big stick in there for him and he's loving it. Hoping to go down this reptile shop and get some moss and vines and that.

I use one of those food bags that have an air tight seal of them. Then put that into an old short bread tin :P. Leave that over night in my garage then dinner is served!

The only problem doing this, is it allows any bacteria to multiply as it reaches room temp, so the longer it's not frozen then quicker the bacteria builds up. If you put the frozen mouse in to warm water or into a water proof bag then in warm water then it will defrost quickly & can be fed to the snake before lots of baceria has a chance to multiply. The benefit of thawing the mouse in a bag in warm water is that the scent is not 'washed' away by the water. The mouse should be dried if thawing in warm water either with kitchen roll or a hair dryer for bigger mice.
