I was going to rescue a Royal but its not feeding so my buds going to let me have a corn snake he has because he needs to work with it. I cant wait to get it, getting it tomorrow hopefully! Whats the chances of it being able to kill a 32kg Dalmatian?

Welcome to the forum mate. How old/what type is the corn you're getting mate?

As for killing the Dalmatian I'm going with no, although if you cut it up small enough it should be able to eat it in about 3000 sittings ;)

Erm i dont know how old itis yet buts its only youngish i think its between 2-3ft long so far. It's just i have a dog and ifit gets out i dont want to wake up and it be dead as he sleeps in my room and the snakey will be in my room. Erm what do you mean what type of corn?

Im going to be having a viv about 3ft long it looks like a fish tank.. it has a wooden top with a door cut out. The lid is pretty heavy so i dont think it'll be able to get out. Im going to be handling it morealess everyday

There are many different colourations (morphs) of Corn snakes, they all have different names.

There is no way a Corn could kill a dog (not even a little one).

Don't get a big viv for the snake for the sake of it, they like to feel secure and can be agoraphobic. A general rule of thumb is length of viv + width of viv = length of snake. If its the viv that the snake is currently living in then I'm sure it will be fine.

I have read corns have a squeezing force of 10 times our own.

squeeze your fist together - 10 times that.

Statistics can prove anything. If a flea was man-size it could jump over the Empire State Building!

I wouldn't say it's true of a corn snake - maybe a python, but just wanted to see what other people thought.

I dunno, but i think there was a vid posted on this forum before showing an anaconda (or something else massive) constricting a swan. It showed that in a differant scale its equal to the pressure of a coach on someones chest.

Aye, scaled up things get weird, it wouldn't surprise me if pound for pound a Corn would be 10 times as strong.
