hi guys

came home today and my year old female corn had just shed woohoo!! but i noticed that on her bedding she has left a strange liquid which i havent really noticed before. this is probably simple stuff that im just being blind about but its see through and shiny, some form bits of a small bubble, but most just a trail of see through sticky stuff?

what is this? is it to do with her shedding?

Could it be some of the oily stuff they secrete before they shed?

Yes, if she is blowing bubbles it could be a respiratory issue.

the original post doesn't explain about bubbles from the nostrils it suggests from the cloaca/anal vent area - well that's how I read it anyway ?

A trail would only be left if the snake slithered backwards lol.

no. she seems perfectly fine. it was a full shed no problems. i had her out for a bit earlier and she was happily slithering about.

Well that's good news anyway. Never had that with a corn but my Royal has an occasional 'wet' shed, never noticed any bubbles though.

Had a look through google for the 'clear liquid' & as i thought it's excess fluids. Nothing to worry about really although continuously it could lead to dehydration. It's hard to tell exactly what this liquid is without a picture.
