Well I popped his food into the viv last night as that's what my mate and the pet shop advised me to do, and woke this morning to find it still there so i looked around for indy and found him in his new hide i made for him out of a glove and cardboard roll, and his eye's are looking milky so i guess he's gonna shed lol, oh well.

So when will he be ready for food and how long will it take for him to shed ?

He will stay like that for a couple of days during which time its best to leave him alone as the sight obviously isn`t too clever and they can become grumpy, then his eyes will clear and he will shed approx 2 days after that. Feed him then straight away, he will be hungry. Also its best to make sure that the shed came off complete and that there isn`t any old skin left on, if there is, bathe him in warm water and i use a wet paper kitchen towel to stroke him which removes any leftovers. Especially check his tail. Hope this helps.

I thawed the pinky out for 2 hours then put it in a plastic pot in warm water to bring it to temp, does that sound about a right

Sounds fine mate, Although i'd try and feed her outside the viv otherwise she may get start to associate the viv opening with food and could mistake your hand for a mouse. I feed all my snakes (except my fussy Black Mexican king snake) on a feeding mat in the middle of the room - (just a plastic coated picnic mat which is easy to clean).

You can tempt her to strike feed by wiggling the mouse with some tongues or chopsticks, this can sometimes work.

Keep trying!

Thankyou for the advice Lewy, I exposed the brain with some snips and dangled it in front of her in a plastic box, and she struck at it nearly instantly, was amazing to watch and just had to get a couple of pics, I can't believ how fast she got it down her, amazing.
