Royals are great pets, don't need much more room than a Corn, but can be very lazy with their eating.

i got leos as they are something a different than just having snakes, will get a royal next year though.

is it me but dont see the attraction with BRB's...sorry..

I think they are great looking snakes with fairly nice temperament, was so close to bringing one home today. If the wife hadn't been with me it may have been a different matter. Although I would have been in some serious trouble when I got in!

He's got a great temperament, my boys (age 4 & 2) are always handling him and he couldn't care less :)

Gotta say though royals dont like regular handling as they do get stressed from it & can develop feeding problems from it.

I would say Leos tolerate handling better than royals. Not saying royals dont but they're not really a snake to get out every day. Some people may say Leos shouldn't be handled daily but they seem to have more character than a royal sort of like when bearded dragons look out their viv to see what's going on. A royal I would say relates it's owner/keeper to food. I think Leos by nature explore more as generally snakes are ambush predators so would not be roaming out in the open. A Leo will hunt for food so would more likely take to walking on your hands & body.
